职位描述
Primary Purpose:
Manage and coordinate production operations in a new China facility to ensure compliance within the established production schedules, standard costs, specifications and quality standards. Direct, plan and develop implementation and maintenance of approved programs and courses of action geared toward the achievement of production, quality and budget standards to ensure efficient operations. Responsible for using lean principles and operating practices to establish, maintain and improve the value that the value stream delivers to its customers.
Nature and Scope:
Complete fabric operation (knitting, finishing, dyeing, and bleaching) This facility, working as a seven-day operation, 24 hours a day, supplies fabric in accordance with established production schedules. The cutting operation includes Gerber and table production and converts the output of the textile operation into cut parts for designated sewing operations. The textile operation will focus on producing product at the lowest possible cost, at specified quality levels, to insure Hanesbrands’ competitive market position in that segment of the apparel industry in which they participate.
Job Activities:
Manage the facility production efforts, assuring responsibility for production quality, cost and delivery. Develop and execute a workflow plan that reflects the demand forecast. Manage the production schedules to ensure maximum efficiency. Ensure accurate inventory control procedures. Ensure the raw materials and finished goods always meet customer requirements. Ensure the equipment is maintained to optimal levels of operation. Ensure compliance with the required health, environment & safety policies.
Key Contacts:
Direct coordination and interaction with the General Manager, Financial Controller, Human Resources Manager, Office Manager, IT Manager, and production department Managers, supervisors, and hourly employees Possible interaction with Export Processing Zone customs to ensure fluent flow of goods in and out
Autonomy and Authority:
The incumbent reports to the Nanjing GM and has responsibility for decision-making for the production operations for China, within the restrictions established by the Annual Operating Plans and Hanesbrands Incorporated policies and procedures. Principal Accountabilities:
Directs the Department Managers responsible for managing and operating the production facilities within the China Complex Responsible for using lean principles and operating practices to establish, maintain and improve the value that the value stream delivers to its customers. Directs production activities to assure that products are produced within the established cost control and quality standards Controls production operating costs within approved budgets by evaluating actual expenditures with budgeted costs, taking appropriate action if necessary to accurately project operating expenses Staffs the China facilities with qualified production management personnel Ensures that China’s Safety Programs are followed and maintained by reviewing routine and spot-check reports, taking corrective action of any deficiencies to eliminate safety hazards. Ensures an effective housekeeping program in all production areas Directs the administration of personnel activities in the China facilities’ production departments in coordination with the Human Resources Manager to insure that company personnel policies and procedures are properly administered Requirements & Qualifications: Previous experience with manufacturing of circular knitting cotton fabric Knowledge of knitting, dyeing and finishing manufacturing processes Experience with a start-up facility and large scale operations Excellent leadership and management skills, ability to influence others Knowledge and execution of lean manufacturing Budgeting experience Textile, Management, or Industrial Engineer Degree, Master’s Degree desirable Strong communication/interpersonal skills Must be fluent in English and Chinese Willing to relocate in Nanjing
